Juan Lara Hierro (Madrid,1971), es un artista que desarrolla una actividad variada dentro del ámbito del lenguaje visual y que abarca desde el grabado y la pintura a la ilustración y el diseño gráfico.
Es, sin embargo, en el mundo del arte gráfico donde más intensamente ha trabajado y desarrollado su labor artística. Tras algunos años de formación en academias de pintura, comienza de pleno a principios de los 90 a trabajar en el campo del grabado como colaborador en un taller. Esto le permite un aprendizaje práctico y directo del método y las diferentes técnicas en contacto con el trabajo y la presencia de otros artistas para, posteriormente, instaurar su propio taller de grabado.
Ha participado en diversas actividades artísticas y exposiciones para artistas jóvenes, habiendo sido seleccionado en varios certámenes. Realiza, además, colaboraciones como ilustrador y diseñador gráfico en editoriales, lo que le permite el conocimiento y el uso de las nuevas tecnologías, así como la investigación e incorporación de las posibilidades que ofrece la estampa digital a su trabajo creativo.
En los últimos tiempos viene realizando diferentes investigaciones en el campo de la transferencia de imágenes a planchas, lo que le lleva a pasar una temporada en dos de los más relevantes talleres ingleses London Print Studio y Thambprint Editions, donde colabora en diferentes proyectos artísticos con artistas como Bernard Cohen y Tracy Emin entre otros.
Actualmente dirige un estudio de grabado donde continúa su trabajo artístico y de innovación en el campo de la gráfica además de trabajar para diferentes artistas plásticos de gran prestigio.
Tiene obra en la Fundación Juan March, Caixa Nova, Caja Madrid y diferentes galerías de arte.
Juan Lara Hierro, artist person who develops an activity changed inside the area of the visual language and whom it includes from the engraving and the painting to the illustration and the graphical design. It is, nevertheless, in the world of the graphical art where more intensely it has worked and developed his artistic labor. After some years of formation in academies of painting, it begins of plenary session at the beginning of the 90 to be employed at the field of the engraving as collaborator at a workshop. This allows him a practical and direct learning of the method and the different technologies in touch with the work and the presence of other artists, later, to restore his own studio of engraving. It has taken part in diverse artistic activities and exhibitions for young artists, having being selected in several contests. It realizes, in addition, collaborations as illustrator and graphical designer in publishing houses, which allows him the knowledge and the use of the new technologies, as well as the investigation and incorporation of the possibilities that offers the digital print to his creative work. In the last times it comes realizing different investigations in the field of the transfer of images to plates, which leads him to spending a season in two of the most relevant English workshops London Print Studio and Thambprint Editions, where he collaborates in different artistic projects with artists as Bernard Cohen and Tracy Emin between others. Nowadays it directs his own Studio of Engraving where it continues his artistic work and of innovation in the field of the graph beside working for different plastic artists of great prestige. His work are in the Juan March Foundation, Caixa Nova, Box Madrid and different galleries of art.
